One of my resolutions and goals before I turn 30 is to try and learn something new every day. The brain is like a sponge and I want to try and soak up as much information as possible. I sometimes find myself bogged down with health and fitness articles and data, so one of the main reasons for doing this experiment is to broaden my horizons and knowledge. You never know, I may develop a completely new interest!
At the end of every day I look back over what I have done, read, who I have had conversations with and what I may have listened to; then try and pick out one piece of information which I have retained and found interesting.
It is actually a lot harder than it appears.
There is so much information thrown at us every day, but how much of it do we actually listen to and take in?
I am looking forward to this experiment.
So here is what I have learnt this week!!
8th : South East Asia has more coral than anywhere else in the world. There are over 2000 species of fish in the waters of Thailand
9th: Papaya fruit can be used to heal burns.
10th: The free radicals in Tomato Ketchup help to prevent cancer.
11th: I learnt how to use the Watt Bike. Doing 20minutes on the Watt Bike work is equivalent to doing 90 minutes of outside cycling.
12th: The different ways to earn $1,000,000: Get 5000 people to purchase a $200 product…..Get 300 people to pay you $278 every month for 12 months.
13th: There is no difference between ingesting protein pre or post workout in terms of strength and muscular size . Aragon and Schoenfield. Jan 2017 (December Alan Aragon Research Review)
14th: People in their 20s are statistically more likely to keep their new years resolutions than those in their 50s.
As you can see, a completely random mix of things!
Stay tuned for next weeks edition!
